How to play
Each show, two card sifters race for a set time. Before the race, you guess how each will do. Closest guesses win points.
Your seven guesses
- Cards sifted by each sifter (two guesses).
- Value sifted by each sifter: the total TCGplayer market value of every card it pulls (two guesses).
- Value above the threshold for each sifter: the same total, counting only cards worth at least the show's threshold, such as $0.25 (two guesses).
- Highest value card: the market value of the single best card either sifter pulls (one guess).
Values come from the market price the sifters use during the show. You can change your guesses as often as you like until they lock. Nobody sees anyone else's guesses until then.
Scoring
Every guess within 10% of the real result scores points. A perfect guess earns 100 points, sliding down to 0 at 10% off. Hit it exactly (same card count, or same dollar value to the cent) and you get a 50-point bonus, for 150.
points = 100 × (1 − difference ÷ (10% of actual))
| If 400 cards were sifted and you guessed… | Points |
|---|---|
| 400 (exact) | 150 |
| 390 (2.5% off) | 75 |
| 380 (5% off) | 50 |
| 360 or less (10%+ off) | 0 |
A perfect show is worth 1,050 points. Combined totals for both sifters are shown for fun, but not scored.
Leaderboards
Points add up on a monthly board (by calendar month) and an all-time board. You can filter either by game; a game's board counts only the points you earned on a sifter running that game.
Ties: on a show's board, whoever locked in their final guess first wins. On the monthly and all-time boards, more exact hits wins, then whoever joined first.
Fair play
- One account per person. Accounts that look like duplicates may be removed.
- Guesses lock a few seconds after the host calls it, to cover the stream delay.
- If a result is corrected after a show, everyone's points update automatically.
